Gratitude

Have you met the people who blog? I haven't. I have met them through their beautiful writings, tweets, Vlogs, emails, and IM's. Through these people I have seen beauty and strength. I have to say that bloggers are some of the coolest people around. Pat yourselves on the back, cheer, hoorah, because really I know that I am in the presence of greatness with some of the coolest, most genuine people. I am also super dooper UBER thankful for all the kind words, thoughts, prayers, kudos, MoJo, etc for myself during this time and for my family.

Seriously....some of the nicest and greatest people ever! You folks are awesome!

Now as a token....who wants to take a day off and come guest post? I would love to have some guest posts!

Welcome to the dark side as I tell you my TMI tale.

DH decided he would take Big G to the movies. We debated about the movie because the movie was X-Men Origins: Wolverine. I really didn't have a problem except for the possible violence, but I know the kid has seen worse and heard worse on the news. Plus he is a HUGE superhero fan like no other. Anyway, the big boys were gone leaving me with the Squids. They were sleeping the entire time. YAY for me. I got to blog, finish an article, surf the net, write another article, write some of my paper that I have no interest in.

Needless to say I got a LOT done. So Pickles and Little Bitty finally wake up and I feed them their lunch and I have an issue. I HAVE to go to the bathroom. Sure no problem right, just go!

Not so easy. You see, Little Bitty is fearless, a trained escape artist and clown extraordinaire. I cannot leave her in her high chair alone, she climbs out and pretends that she is King Kong of the high chair, shaking it wildly, screaming and barking like a dog... you get the picture. So I am fearful she will fall and break something.

So I hurriedly remove them from their high chairs and beeline down the hall to the bathroom.

Here is the deal....................I'm stalling I know..........................my Aunt Flo is not kind to me. Never has been. I have NASTY back pain. I mean I would rather have back labor again than to have the back pain Aunt Flo provides. Aunt Flo is visiting me, she dropped in today. Lovely. When Aunt Flo visits she also brings other issues south of the border.....like BM issues. Not the pipes are clogged, oh no, my pipes are runneth over.

I make it to the bathroom and forget to shut the door....easy to do in my house when in a hurry. So Pickles Magoo decides he is going to strollingly crawl into the bathroom and keep an eye on his favorite woman, which happens to be me. While diddling in the bathroom keeping an eye on me he becomes distracted.

COMING FROM THAT PORCELAIN SEAT?

Yes. The boy heard what no woman wants to admit she does.....SHART.

Oh, I could feel the flush in my face. I am not quite sure why it mattered because I was looking straight at a person who craps his pants ALL the time. He has no shame, he thinks his penis is an attached play toy, his butt is a tickle zone, why am I embarrassed.

But then more. More noise, I am a scene straight out of Dumb & Dumber and all I can do is finish so I can not be in this white room with a small child watching me. And then......he tries to help me in my moment of total nature nastiness...........

The sweet little boy with the cutest cheeks, happy smile, pale skin, and bold blue eyes looks up with his precious smiling face and hands me a diaper.

Yes ladies.......my 15 month old hands me a diaper.

At that moment I was so proud to know that I gave birth to such an intelligent child that he knew that what I needed......was a diaper.

Tuesday is so AAAWWWWEEEESSSUUUMMM!

Why is Tuesday so awesome (awe-sum)? Well because today I was nominated for another blog award...only the second in my bloggy career. Can you believe it? ME??!! I mean seriously, I usually only get that award from DH, you know the one right:

I was nominated by my sister which is totally AWE-SUUMM!! So here is a blip about my sister if you don't already know her or follow her blog and our blog:

Brittany - is a true free spirit, my best friend, my best enemy (hey we're sisters), and one savvy chick who got me into this blogging business.

To accept this AWE - SUM award and pass the award onto others I must list 7 awesome things about myself and then list 7 awesome people that I would like to pass the award on to. So here goes, I am AWE-SUM:

1. I got up this morning without barking orders in my drill sergeant fashion and coffee was waiting for me.

2. I made breakfast for EVERYBODY, including mahself, before 8am. This NEVER happens.

3. I made a ruckus, and am still making a ruckus about my son's teacher who is losing her job in June. I will do all I can to make sure she keeps her job....I am AWE SUM.

4. I didn't yell at my kids once today. I know!!! AWESOME!!!

5. I finished all my pointless homework in a timely fashion so I can spend the rest of my time wisely this week (stirring the pot with my son's school)

6. Oh, I was elected Treasurer of the PTO for my son's school. I am SOOO AWWEESUM!!

7. I ate a brownie, from the batch my husband made, shortly after taking them out of the oven....they were so warm, soft and gooey!! I am so totally AWWEE SUUMM!!

Ten Things Tuesday...on Wednesday

This is my Ten Things Tuesday on Wednesday (DUH, I know), but yesterday I was bombarded with school stuff since this is my second to last class. I decided I needed to rant, but I was taught to show some gratitude so enjoy my spin on Ten Things Tuesday, on Wednesday and make sure you thank Mrs. Brownstone.

1. I am so thankful I have a MIL who offers to babysit all the time. However, she always makes sure to find a reason why she can't and or puts stipulations on babysitting.

2. I am so thankful I have a house that I have to clean daily.....as I so LOVE to clean my house everyday, ALONE. Because you know I fired Yolanda....oh wait....I'm Yolanda.

3. I am so thankful that I had classmates who worked as hard as a prima donna socialite, but I am thankful for the learning experience of working in teams.

4. I am so thankful that I have a yard and wonderful plants that are in dire need of watering, since I am the only one who ever notices they need watering....and get watering from me.

5. I am so thankful for the Mexican food I had for dinner tonight....I can't remember the last time I had Mexican food.....but I couldn't enjoy it since the Squids were fussing to take a bath, so I had to leave my love to care for my other loves.

6. I am so thankful my kids have grandma's....because I know at least one of them spends quality time with them...

7. I am so thankful I have someone who takes good care of me.....which is me.

8. I am so thankful I have a blog....that I wish I could devote more time to....like the time I devote to my 3-4 loads of daily laundry.

9. I am thankful I have a great dog.....but wish the rest of the family would love on her as much as I do.

10. I am thankful I have some audience to listen to my thanks....and in this case....my rant.

TEN THINGS TUESDAY

I haven't done one of these in quite some time. In such a dismall time in our world we need every bit of joy, sunshine, and happiness to keep our hopes alive, well, and provide reassurance that a light will be at the end of this dark tunnel we travel through at this time. Please pass on your thanks in the blog world and don't forget to thank Mrs. Brownstone. Please post what you are thankful for, happy about, or just want to share some good feelings.

1. I am thankful I was able to wake-up this morning so easily and enjoy a HOT cup of coffee without interruption.

2. I am thankful that G had a great day at school and didn't get another ticket sent home.

3. The twins took TWO naps today....and at this moment are still asleep...I will pay later, but Im happy they are getting some much needed rest.

4. G asked me to come outside and play Star Wars with him....I am so glad I am cool enough to play with the boy....most of the time DH is the one being summoned to be Darth Vadar.

5. DH got home early enough this evening from his trip to Salt Lake to spend time with the fam.

6. The Squids both jumped up and wanted to be held by DH when he got home.....this warmed my heart to know they adore him as much as G and I do.

7. I got to check in on my fellow bloggers today.....I don't always get to do so and today I very much enjoyed the opportunity.

8. I get to do my nightly constitutional tonight....my 1.5 mile jog.....just me....the road....the full moon and my iPod....

9. Tomorrow is Wednesday....the middle of the week and next week is Spring Break....HALLELUJAH!

10. With next week being Spring Break, I am looking forward to my nephew spending some boy time with G and they get to have all sorts of fun boy time, which also means, girl time with my sister.
